Manga Cafe Brew, Vol. 2: July 2026

Summer has officially arrived, and with it comes a fresh batch of manga, new partnerships, exciting pre-orders, and a few long-awaited restock updates at the One-Shot Manga Cafe.

The goal was to time the release of this blog with the summer solstice. As you can probably tell from the published date, that didn’t quite work out, but hey, better late than never.

Whether you’re choosing to read in the blistering heat (in the shade hopefully) or in your cozy, air-conditioned home (my choice), there’s something for every manga reader to get hyped about with this update. Let’s take a look at what’s been brewing (it’s all still piping hot).

FEATURED PRODUCT

Witch Hat Atelier is the best anime of Spring 2026 and you’ll have a hard time convincing me otherwise. It’s got it all: Story, world-building, magic system, animation. Between Witch Hat Atelier, Frieren, and Delicious in Dungeon, we might have the holy trinity of modern high fantasy anime.

For the very patient reader, our Witch Hat Atelier: Grimoire Edition Pre-Order Bundle is the best way to experience this magical series. These premium hardcover editions feature nearly 600 pages each, elegant gold foil detailing, and bonus content that makes them worthy centrepieces for any collection.

It's no surprise that demand has surged following the anime's release. Volume 1, released in May, is already on backorder (more on that below), while Volume 2 and Volume 3 release in August and November of this year respectively, and Volume 4 releases on February 2, 2027.

If you're planning to collect the series, securing the full bundle early is the best way to avoid the hunt later.

PUBLISHER HIGHLIGHT

One publisher I’ve been especially excited to watch this year is Kodama Tales.

While still relatively new to the English manga landscape, Kodama Tales has quickly built a reputation for licensing series that many fans have hoped would either return to print or receive high-quality English editions.

Their catalogue already includes legendary titles like Baki the Grappler, Sun-Ken Rock, and SMILE, alongside underrated gems such as MAGICA, Me and the Alien Mumu, and Smile!. It's an interesting mix of fan favourites and lesser-known series, which makes every new license announcement worth paying attention to.

STACKING THOSE BUNDLES

If you've been following the One-Shot Manga Cafe for a while, you'll know that manga bundles have become one of our house specialties.

There's something incredibly satisfying about seeing an entire series lined up on the shelf, whether you're starting a new series or finally completing a long-running favourite.
