Manga Cafe Brew, Vol. 1: Spring 2026
Manga Cafe Owner-sanShare
Spring has sprung, and it’s time for a quarterly update from your (hopefully) favourite Canadian manga store.
It's been 6 months since our last update. If we keep this up, we'll give Takehiko Inoue-sensei a run for his money (it's ok, you can read his magnum opus here).
So, what’s new at the One-Shot Manga Cafe in 2026 thus far?
WE’RE ALL-IN ON SPECIAL EDITIONS
A TON of manga special edition volumes have been added to our catalog in the last few months.
For reference, we generally classify the following as special editions (though the list isn’t exhaustive): deluxe editions, omnibus editions, collector’s editions, and similar formats.
We’re pretty liberal with the Special Edition classification because if we weren’t, you wouldn’t be getting these exclusive discounts:
Buy 2 or more and get 10% off.
Buy 5 or more and get 15% off.
More special edition volumes are being added every week. Now’s a great time to start building or completing the manga collection you’ve always wanted.

MANGA SET REQUESTS ARE OPEN
Our series bundles have been a smashing success. One could say they’re quickly becoming one of our house specialties. We’ve been curating manga sets for every occasion.
Want to go all in on a story from beginning to end? We got you covered:
Looking for a specific author's works? Check these out:
Binged the anime and want to relive the season but in print this time? We thought you would never ask:
More bundles will be added over time. And of course, we’re always open to requests. The Haikyu!! set was such a request and we were happy to accommodate.
If there’s a series you’d like to collect in full, feel free to reach out and we can work on putting a bundle together. As long as the volumes are still in print, we should be able to make it happen.
SAY HELLO TO OUR LITTLE FRIENDS
Since PM Mark Carney is traveling the world inking deals and partnerships, we thought we’d do a little deal-making of our own....just closer to home.
We would like to highlight products from our partners. A small selection of snacks and beverages are now available for sale right here in our online store, all sold by Canadian businesses just like us.
What's a cafe without coffee? Check out Suntory coffee sold by Vancouver-based KON NICHIWA MART, imported straight from Japan:
Rather sip on some tea? Check out the exquisitive selection of tea from Canadian teamakers TEALISH:
Treat yourself to the contents of these delicious mystery boxes, curated and sold by EXTREME SNACKS in Aurora, Ontario:
Last but not least, the best gummy candies around, sold by our friends in Montreal, SQUISH CANDIES:
With these treats, the cafe lives on in spirit....
NO TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINATOWN
A quick clarification about our physical presence in Toronto, as we’ve received quite a few questions around store hours and in-person visits.
We are renting shelf space inside 222 Spadina Market in Chinatown Centre. It is not a standalone bookstore. That was the original plan, but plans change.
Our operations remain primarily online, with the space functioning mainly as a storage and shipping hub. This allows us to stay focused on expanding our catalog and fulfilling orders efficiently.
Because of this setup, local pickup for online orders is no longer available going forward. We will ship all orders directly to y'all.
But, everyone is welcome to shop (and window shop) when 222 Spadina Market is open. There are many other vendors selling their knickknacks in the space as well.
We appreciate everyone’s interest in visiting the space, and we’ll continue to share updates as things evolve.
For now, 222 Spadina Market is usually open from 12pm to 8pm every weekend (subject to change).
MARCH REALLY DID COME IN LIKE A LION
Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to another great year.
As the name of the blog post implies, we are aiming to provide even more updates going forward. Plus, we’re working toward being more active with our marketing in general, while continuing to expand our inventory and improve shipping speed.
It’s a one-person show over here most of the time, so there are challenges. Just small business things. But thanks to your support, it continues to be an endlessly rewarding endeavour.
See you later, space cowboy....
